I took some pictures and did a post about them, too. Since I live in Texas I wasn't sure if we would get to see any snow this year, so I thought I'd take advantage of the pretty scenery :-) It was fun playing in the snow with my grandsons, too! Took me back to my childhood in Wisconsin, where we had plenty of the white stuff!!Toni - Signature Gardenshttp://signaturegardens.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516540452021706712.post-11884649971815842192010-12-30T18:23:23.136-06:002010-12-30T18:23:23.136-06:00Alas for the cold and snow, although it's very...Alas for the cold and snow, although it's very beautiful. Hope it didn't hurt anything in the area you were visiting, and that you got a little warmth to combat (prevent?) the epatoozies...Happy New Year to you...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12107236871193698777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516540452021706712.post-2762267276582482302010-12-29T16:24:18.134-06:002010-12-29T16:24:18.134-06:00A beautiful collage, Carolyn Gail! I do feel badly for those in the South who've had such unusual weather; at least here in the Midwest we're prepared for it with snowplows and salt for the roads. I remember the year we went to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl, and a light dusting of snow the morning we left created hazardous roads, because they simply weren't prepared for such weather.

I didn't have time before Christmas to read your post with the Capote story, but I have read it before. "To Kill a Mockingbird" is one of my favorite books, and I remember seeing Capote on TV once and imagining him as a young Dill:)

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Carolyn; best wishes for the New Year!Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516540452021706712.post-34465738733147320812010-12-29T10:21:33.293-06:002010-12-29T10:21:33.293-06:00Carolyn, I have a friend in South Carolina and she...Carolyn, I have a friend in South Carolina and she said they just got a dusting and it was gone the next day.

Glad you had such a good time with your family.

EileenGatsbys Gardenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04228978705943696143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7516540452021706712.post-23649095701067579422010-12-29T10:08:52.986-06:002010-12-29T10:08:52.986-06:00Lovely snowscapes Carolyn.
