THE BOUNTIFUL BLOOMS OF JULY-GBBD

Those Spring Flingers that visited my garden at the end of May saw a very immature planting of annuals and perennials since I had to establish a new bed , due to the loss of some of my major shrubs.

With the coolest and rainiest Spring/Summer in about a hundred years the garden is lush with new growth.

So far I'm pleased with my new plantings and will continue to add to them. The collage above shows what's blooming in Sweet Garden Chicago.

Visit Carol at Maydreamsgardens to see what's blooming in gardens across the USA.

  2. I feel like we're just stuck in Spring. When does summer start round these parts??? Where is this global warming thing going on?

Usually by this time in July its too miserable to get out and weed, but I'm kind of on top of it with the nice weather.

thanks for the words of encouragement on my son moving out. I'm so looking forward to the next step in my life.

  5. I love the idea of your collage, and the herbs (is that thyme?) growing happily around the garden stones is lovely.

  7. Your garden looked beautiful when we saw it in May; it must be a riot of color with all these blooms now. I like the plantings around the stepping stones, too. I have been enjoying this cooler summer, and my garden has appreciated all the rain we've had.
