An Irish New Year's Blessing
May the New Year bring
the warmth of home and hearth to you
The cheer and goodwill of friends to you
The hope of a childlike heart to you
The joy of a thousand angels to you
The love of the Son and God's peace to you.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !
Wishing you a most happy, healthy and peaceful new year to you Carolyn. My poem is up now and I am celebrating a year of musing :)
ReplyDeleteWe watched the blue moon sail above our snowy hills last night - and stood amazed as it seemed to turn red, just before midnight. I take this as a good omen - that this year will be filled with bright blessings for all. My poem is up too.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, dear Carolyn! I hope the new year brings you blessings and I also hope to see you again sometime this year. I love Chicago so I'm sure we'll be returning! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Carolyn and here's to a marvellous 2010 for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI've bent the meaning of Muse Day rather a bit, so I can post the questions we set for last night's quiz at the party we attended with our friends and neighbours.
I remarked on the full moon on the way home - it wasn't until I came in here earlier today that I realised it was a blue one. Forget the first one in 19 years, a blue moon at New Year must be really, really rare...
My blatherings are here ;)
Hello Carolyn, Happy New Year. I was so glad to see that you had stopped by my blog a little while ago. The beginning of this year seems so exciting. New decade, new year all rolled into one seems to feel like magic. I wish you the best year yet. I have a contribution to Muse Day up on my blog. Cheers. http://greenbowgardens.blogspot.com/2010/01/garden-bloggers-muse-day-january-1-2010.html

ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolyn Gail, and best wishes for a very happy New Year to you as well! I am not getting the year off to a great start, I'm afraid--I completely forgot about Muse Day yesterday. I resolve to do a better job the rest of the year.
ReplyDeleteHappiest of New years to you, too Carolyn Gail! I hope to be able to join you next month...when typing is easier again! gail
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to make you aware that your blog content is being scraped here: http://gardening.hikool.com/2009/12/
ReplyDeleteYour readers with blogs might want to check and make sure their content is being stolen also.
Thanks, Tina. I'll work on them now !
ReplyDeleteHey Tina,
ReplyDeleteJust an update to let you know that all of the garden bloggers posts mysteriously disappeared after I left a little comment on their blog :-) Thanks, again.
I just found one of the blotanists' post in their "Home and Gardening: Art" section.
