HEY Y'ALL : 'BAMA IS BACK !

" Rammer jammer, yellow hammer, give them hell Alabama ! "

On the rare occasion that I read the sports page of the newspaper you can bet that it has to do with the University of Alabama football team, the Crimson Tide. This morning's headlines : Crimson Tide wins the BCS ( Bowl Championship Series ). Yah! We are the champions.

It's been 17 years since their last championship which is why last night's winning game was so exciting. UA , with 13 national championships, is the college team with the most wins in history.

I know that there are a lot of happy Alabama fans waking up with a hangover this morning. Hair o' the dog that bit you.

  3. Go Alabama! Having lived in Alabama I know they love their football so you say it right for all the fans this morning.

Thanks for the info on the paulownia. It was very good and I really like that kind of info about plants. Stay warm! It is hard to do so here too.

  6. LOL. This isn't a disparaging comment, understand. ONe of the things that has fascinated me in recent months is the adoration of football by all kinds of fans in the US. I guess the closest we come is the national obsession with hockey. I don't share either obsession but I enjoy the enthusiasm of others.

  13. Hey Jodi, I don't expect you, as a Canadian, to understand football crazy Americans and we in turn don't get your affection for hockey, but hey, to each his own :-)

  15. I am in Santa Monica and there are Alabama and Longhorn fans staying here at our hotel!

We are going to Pasadena to see Huntington Gardens tomorrow.

I reported that Turkish site to the Home Depot and Google. HD thanked me and Google is redirecting all traffic to that Turkish site back to HD. We won the battle! :-)
