MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK

I LOVE dianthus, especially the ones that act like perennials but are sold as annuals. These came back prettier even than last year and they are planted in many areas of my garden, which means that I saved a bundle. In addition to red there are bi-colors, raspberry, white and pink.

In Chicago this is a tender perennial but I've seen it return for at least four years. That's why I call dianthus more " bang for the buck. "
