Spreading Beauty

Hydrangea serrulata ' spreading beauty '

Aptly named, 'spreading beauty ' is one of the smallest hydrangeas at 2 feet in height. A couple from Belgium took a clipping from Hallasan Island, Korea and developed it.

'Spreading beauty ' blooms from July until late Fall and is extremely winter hardy. I have it planted in my east-facing shady front garden where it brightens up a dark corner.

  1. Good morning to ya, Miss Carolyn Gail,

Your hydrangea is spreading beauty to my heart today. It is very pretty. One of these days I'm going to figure out how to grow hydrangeas that do well here. I've tried oakleaf and the bushes are beautiful but no blooms. I absoutley LOVE hydrangeas of all kinds. Nice you have one that is so hardy and blooms so long.

  4. Now that's a neat little hydrangea (of course my mind wanders to - where can I find it and where would I put it?)

  7. I have a pia that is a smaller one. I haven't heard of this one, I'll have to see if I can find one.
