Walking about the garden this morning , making mental notes of what plants to change/replace, I couldn't help but notice the abundance that is August in my garden.

ReplyDeleteWhat an influence you've had on my garden. Because of your suggestions, I have most of this stuff growing in my garden. But, my Sweet Autumn Clematis isnt blooming yet.

ReplyDeleteThose are some real beauties Carolyn! I love Sweet Autumn clematis, had it climbing the fence at my last house. I'm tempted to let one climb up one of the maples here since we have no fences. Limelight is one of my favorite hydrangeas - so lovely!

ReplyDeleteA friend of mine has Sweet Autumn climbing up a tree and it looks great.
I fell in love with Limelight when I first saw it at the garden center. They grow more beautiful with age.

ReplyDeleteStunning photos. It's so interesting to see how much further along your plants are than mine (down south). Like Sweet Autumn Clematis and Autumn Joy Sedum. Mine are just starting to bud up.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good time to survey the garden and see what is still looking good. I planted a "Limelight" last fall, and I would definitely put that on my list, too. The "Peppermint Twist" phlox is one I will have to look for. But the absolute star must be that "Harvest Moon"!
