Maybe you don't want to compete with that, Carolyn. I was watching a report on the BBC last night showing the eviction of a Chinese family to make way for showpieces like these. If you're interested, check out the report at http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/jamesreynolds/2008/07/olympic
Stunning Carolyn! Thanks for posting the video.
ReplyDeleteThanks. How can we compete with that, Lintys?

ReplyDeleteWill do, Victoria and thanks for bringing to to my attention.
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful. It is as close to the Olympics as I will probably get. No, I guess I shouldn't say that because I will watch some of it on tv.
ReplyDeleteThe topiaries are outstanding. It takes so many years for them to grow I wonder how they got them so large so quickly.
The music to the video was good too. I usually can't understand a thing they say but this was very Europeanized. Is that a word? tee hee
Thanks, Lisa. Yes I think 'Europeanized' is a word much like ' Americanized' : )
ReplyDeleteIf we get the Olympics next time around you could surely visit Chicago then. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
