THE THIRD CONTENDER TO THE THRONE

Hydrangea Paniculata ' Limelight '

It has taken three shrubs to fill in the huge gap left by the demise of Queen Marie ( Viburnum ' Mariesii ' ) . Thus far I've planted Daphne 'carol mackie ' and Viburnum 'carlisii '.
I love my Limelight Hydrangea so much that I decided I could use another one. Besides, repetition is one of the principles of design.

Now I must be patient for them to fill the vacancy.

  1. Thanks, Tina. The photo is actually the one of my 3 year old 'Limelight." My newly planted one is still small and I've not taken a photo yet as I am waiting until I plant everything.

  2. I think Hydrangea Paniculata 'Limelight' is lovely - I am still trying to work out where I can put one here.
Repetition is good - particularly when it is such a nice shrub.

I also love Limelight - it is doing wonderfully in a sunny spot in the third year.
