Jasper in May
by Moi
That old rascal groundhog didn't see his shadow in Chicago so I'm going against that Pennsylvania weather prediction of six more weeks of Spring. January was horrible but thus far February has given us some days to dream about Spring.
Hard as I tried to find blooms for today ( snowdrops where are you?) there were none in sight so I decided to lift my spirits by painting an entire meadow such as those I used to roam in when I was young in Sweet Home Alabama. The sight of jonquils and wild blue phlox are embedded forever in my memory.

Very Nice Mom!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sweetie. You can do a post for Garden Blogger's bloom day on one of your fabulous indoor blooming plants. Visit Carol at Maydreams gardens and look at her indoor garden.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Gail, that is a beautiful painting and I think it is one of your best, and you've shown us some in the past that I thought were great paintings. Thanks for sharing it with us for bloom day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for expanding the boundaries for GBBD, Carol to include both real and imaginary blooms.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate your compliments.
That's beautiful All I have are animal prints in snow and chewed up plants to look at. Maybe I should have drawn a picture instead.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Gail, Really lovely painting! A fine flower from your creative garden!

That's an amazing picture. I spend several moments trying to work out who Moi was (sounds a bit Spanish!)
ReplyDeleteYou painted a wonderful picture, even with your words as I can feel the warmth now and hear the birds-and it's snowing here! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting! Peak in Raleigh for some Galanthus.
ReplyDeleteI love your painting, CG. You are so talented. Sorry about the Snow Drops. You know, none of mine are blooming either.~~Dee

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I do have some blooms in my garden because I certainly couldn't whip up anything like that! What a great picture! I'd love to go out walking where she's walking.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, the Snowdrops are out here, in my garden! Today they are enjoying the rain...
ReplyDeleteI love the painting. I had one little snowdrop blooming. I photographed it for my blog. Maybe you will have some soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting Carolyn! How wonderful when there's nothing blooming to be able to paint your own blooms!
ReplyDeleteAhh, You are a wonderful artist! It's really appropriate for this month too...I love the blue and yellow together. What's better, you can pretend you are still in the south and it's actually warm out:)
