No matter how beautiful the flowers, like those in your garden, it does seem as though a shadow begins to fall over September. My post is up, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Carolyn Gail! This short poem says it all about this beautiful month.
ReplyDeleteMy Muse Day post will be up a little later.
Beautiful sentiment in this poem and lovely blooms to go with it. How could I have missed GBBD??? Grrr.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn - you've struck a chord with me today. I certainly find September has a tinge of regret - for all those summery things that didn't get done. Fingers crossed for an Indian summer, so that I get a second chance!
ReplyDeleteI've had a fun chllenge for this month's muse day - to find a suitable poem that fits in with a plastic pot recycling challenge. I've just about managed it and discovered a new American poet to me in the process :)
Happy Muse Day everyone and my effort's here!
I've posted a poem for today at www.secretcottagegarden.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteColourful September flowers Carolyn and I like the quote. I worked in school for years so September to me is still a time to look forwards :)

How can it be september already?
ReplyDeleteI'll admit that I am ready for some fall temperatures.
Hi, Carolyn. Love that color combination of flowers. I can't believe September is here already. My post is now up.

Carolyn, for whatever reason, my brain refuses to work some days. :) I thought *yesterday* was the 1st. Sigh. Anyway, I posted a photo and an original poem this evening, though it's a bit late for Muse Day. Better late than never?

What a wonderful poem, perfect for Sept. The WWWs have a GBMD post up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, vibrant combination Carolyn. Now that it's September I think it's safe to say summer has passed us by entirely this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, wild collection of flowers. Appropriate for September. I'm late again, but my Muse Day post is up: http://yardisgreen.blogspot.com/2009/09/oh-im-going-to-add-this-muse-day-post.html
