A Bit of Fun with Garden Whimsicals

A sign in an antique shop  ( true story ) that I still chuckle at  :  " We buy junk and sell antiques. "   Now that I have a potager I can use more whimsicals to give it a bit of cottage charm and will be actively looking for some  junk, uh, antiques.

I love birdhouses , chickens, gourds, sun faces and whimsicals signs.  I have a large, blank garage wall that is now my gallery  and thus far I've added a few things .

Top upper left is my North Carolina handmade birdhouses collected on a trip with Anna Flowergardengirl.  On the right are various gourds and birdhouses I've collected from different places .

If you have a favorite source for whimsicals send them to me.

  1. Hi Carolyn, I sometimes find yard art at the Home Goods Store (bigger TJ Max), hammered metal, some with small mirrors, etc. I also frequent an Antigue Store that has weathered wood frames with pressed plants between the glass (did well outdoors this summer) Vintage Cottage, Western Springs. Good luck, I like your new fall background.
